Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 September 2026
These terms govern your use of the Travel Buddy website at travelbuddy-app.co.uk and the Travel Buddy mobile application (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Definitions
"Travel Buddy", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Travel Buddy Ltd. "You" and "your" refer to the user of the Service. "Content" means destination information, guides, data, and any other material made available through the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and account secure and for all activity under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
- You may not share your account or transfer it to another person.
4. Use of the Service
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any law.
- Misuse, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to access the underlying systems or source code.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service, its servers, or networks.
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute Content without our permission.
- Submit false, misleading, or harmful content or information.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers without our written consent.
5. Content and accuracy
The Service provides travel information — including weather, safety, visa, vaccine, transport, and food guidance — sourced from third parties. We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee that all information is current, complete, or error-free. Information is provided for general guidance only and does not constitute professional, legal, medical, or travel advice.
Always verify critical information — such as visa requirements, vaccination rules, and safety advisories — with official sources before travelling. You are solely responsible for decisions made based on the Service.
6. Third-party links and services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites and services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, its design, branding, software, and original Content are owned by Travel Buddy and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without our written consent.
8. User content
Any content you submit to the Service (such as saved trips or feedback) remains yours. By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, store, and process it solely to provide and improve the Service.
9. Fees and payments
The core Service is currently free. Some features may require payment in the future; any paid features will be clearly disclosed before you are charged. Paid features may be subject to the app store's terms and billing.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, or for any reason at our discretion, including to protect the Service or other users.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties regarding accuracy, availability, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Travel Buddy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or travel arrangements, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the preceding twelve months, or £50, whichever is greater.
The information provided through the Service — including weather, safety, visa, vaccine, transport, and food guidance — is sourced from third-party and local service providers and is presented for general guidance only. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Travel Buddy shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or death arising from, or in connection with, the use of, or reliance upon, such information, including where that information is incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. You are solely responsible for verifying critical information with official sources and for any decisions or actions you take based on the Service.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
